Women seeking Godly lives

This is a blog that tells women who are not yet Christians, how to become a Christian. It talks about being a Godly woman in today's world. It talks about the one thing most women are embarrassed to talk about, sex. We will discuss, marriage. The woman's roll as a Godly wife. Where God should be in her life, as well as her husband, kids, friends, etc.

When people get you down or let you down.

Well, it has been a while since I have written anything but just felt the urge. You know sometimes people don't see us for what or who we really are and sometimes they don't take the time. It is hurtful to hear someone say "you don't fit in" or "you just don't blend." Really?!? Who says so? Jesus didn't fit in and He wasn't thought well of in His own home town. However, He saved the world from sin!!! When someone says something that hurts you or lets you down...just remember all the hurtful things Jesus endured and what our Father in Heaven endures from us...yet He still loves us!!!! So when people who don't measure up to what you expect or think they are supposed to be or has audacity to degrade you...just pray for them and love them! Some seem to be wonderful Godly people that are spiritually mature but the fact is sometimes they are not; fact is sometimes they are so insecure that all they have is the act of being someone they are not (how miserable). Some people just have some maturing to do. Not all people pray about decisions they are making that affects others, instead they act on what they want or they think is best. So be mindful of that and hold your heads up high when you feel you have been treated unfairly by these people...you are a child of God!!!!
God Bless

How to Become a Christian

This blog is for all God's beautiful women! Whether you have already excepted Jesus or not. If you have not excepted Jesus into your heart I want to make sure you contact me and let me know if you do.

If you would like to except Jesus in to your life, all you have to do is pray this prayer and ask Jesus to help you with the rest.

Heavenly Father,
I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of
my Sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my
heart that Jesus is your Son, And that he died on the
Cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have
Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and Savior. I repent of my Sins and will Worship you all the day's of my Life!. Because your word is truth, I confess with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed by the Blood of Jesus!
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Now I would like to say a pray for you.
Dear Lord, thank you so much for the soul that has just been delivered from the road to hell. I pray your protection around them and that you will strengthen them when they come under Satan's attack. Let them know Father that you are fighting with them and you love them. I pray the seed will grow and produce even more fruit for your Kingdom. We thank you for your Son who died for us and we thank you for your salvation. In Jesus name I pray , Amen.

Congratulations!!! If you have just prayed this prayer and excepted Jesus in your heart...you are sealed with His blood! Nothing can snatch you from His hand. Now, I have to tell you this....don't think everything is going to be great in your life now that you are a Christian. We will still have troubles. As a matter of fact Satan is really mad at you right now and will do anything he can to make you believe what you did "didn't take" well, it did!!! Ole'' Satan likes for us to think we are just not good enough to be a child of God. He is a liar and a deceiver. Just remember, things in our lives are going to happen, good and bad whether we are Christians or not....but now you can call on your dear Lord for comfort!!! Peace be with you my sister or brother (in case some of you guys are keeping up with the blog) in Christ!!!!

How do you guys find time to spend with our Lord and Savior? Feed Back Please!!!!

We all are busy, that's a given. But what are some ways you are making sure your are spending time in the word, praying, and serving. Are we allowing ourselves to step out of our own insecurities and allow God to lead where He wants us to serve? These areas just might not be in our comfort zone or where we we would normally serve or even like to serve. But if we will just trust Him and allow Him to lead us where He knows we will be better servants we will be much more effective in our service. I realize this takes a lot of faith, trust, and courage. But if we will just let God lead us and take that step out of our "normal" realm of service, I believe our fruits will produce so much more abundantly!!! I know it is scary...but remember...(Luke 1:37) "For nothing is impossible with God."

Please leave comments and ways you have done this very thing or why you don't. You can leave your comments and thoughts anonymously!

Marriage Testimony

Are our marriages a testimony for God?
I want to encourage you to make sure yours is. Christians are called to place God first in our lives above everything and everyone. How can our marriages be testimonies for our Lord and Savior? We are called to love; not just when it is easy but also when we decide someone doesn't "deserve" it. Have you ever decided that your spouse didn't deserve your love or for you to treat them as well as you treat them. I believe that if we love and treat our spouses well, even when they don't "deserve" it that we are honoring God. Our actions are living sacrifices. My challenge to you for the next month is this: get with your spouse and ask them what are the top five things you do that makes them feel loved and share your top five with them. After sharing write down your spouse's top five and make a covenant between you and God that you will do these things as a sacrifice to our Lord. Please do not keep score with your spouse, your covenant is between you and God. God doesn't anger us, nor will He let us down, He loves us and this is who we are honoring with our marriage. This will take work and it may be a big change but God will honor you and your marriage. I encourage you to do this daily, referring to your notes each day if you need to. Start out by doing something everyday, remember this is between you and God and your actions are to honor Him. You don't have to point out to your spouse what you are doing, they will notice. Gradually increase the number of things you do each day until you no longer have to look at the list and it becomes habit forming. Stay with it and let your marriage become a testimony to our Lord Jesus Christ. Let me know how it goes. Love Yall

Acting...

How many of us have watched the big screen and thought..."wow I wish I could do that?" I know for me I have. Most of us have probably at one time or another wanted to be an actress. Well, the fact is I have been an actress. You know the kind, Acting like a Christian. It is possible that some of you reading this have been actresses too. And sadly enough I guess there are times when I still am. Are you?

After having my priority time with God this morning, I was talking to my husband on the phone. We were discussing how Christians should ACT. That's when it hit me. "People shouldn't ACT like Christians, they should BE Christians!"

How many of us act one way in front of one group and a whole different way in front of another. Or how about if the preacher is standing next to us...are we the same then as we are when we are NOT around our brothers and sisters at church?

Are we going around ACTING like Christians, or are we BEING Christians? When we are in front of other Christians whom we want to gain their respect, are we only ACTING like or BEING Christians. How about if we have a desire to have a higher position in our church? Are we ACTING or BEING who we claim to be...Christians?

Think about it...actresses are paid well aren't they? We have been paid well too, by Christ...He paid us with His life! Do we really want to disgrace Him and ourselves by ACTING like a Christian?

Don't be an actress...be a Christian!!!!

God Bless,
Kathy

?

You get home from a hard day at work: now you clock in at your second or maybe even third job,the one without pay. Dont worry Mom will help the kids with homework, do the laundry, cook, clean up the kitchen after dinner, bathe the kids, and then take off the face. Now, while you are doing all of this the man of your dreams is lying comfortably on the sofa channel surfing. But that's not all...remember this morning? You got up early, made breakfast, got the kids to school, got yourself ready for the day, and did your best to be at work on time. Woo, I'm already tired just thinking about it! Does this sound familiar.

Questions: Are we supposed to fit God into all of our "busyness" or should our "busyness" be fitted around God? Where does God rank in life? Is He to come before my hubsband, kids, carrer, my own personal desrires? How can I be the Proverbs 31 woman that God calls me to be? How can I be any kind of woman God calls me to be?

As far as where and how to fit God in to all this. You cant "fit" God into anything God is everything and everything is His. He desires to be involved in everything we do; we are His creation, made in His image. The creator of the universe desires to have a realtionship with YOU. How can we not spend time with Him? You must feed yourself spiritualy everyday. NOT just a little bible reading and a two minute devotional along with the rushed prayer time between dropping off the kids and arriving to work that will not satisfy our craving to be closer to God. It is a constant awareness of His presence that will. Maybe you realize that you may have not had a quite time with God this morning, well that isnt the only time God wants with you. God is the one that loves you more than anyone...that's right...ANYONE. As we go through our busy day we can talk to him. Ask Him what His will is for our lives. While folding clothes..thank Him for having clothes to fold or food to prepare. Also for dishes to wash and a house to clean. And, don't forget to thank him for that guy that you are one with that is probably still on the sofa. We need our quite time. But, we also need a daily, every second relationship with Him. Don't fill your life up with so much "stuff" that you neglect the most important part of it, a relationship with the One who gave His life for you.....Jesus Christ!!!

When it appears the hubby isn't doing his part around the house, it sometimes angers us. We finally crawl in our comfy bed hoping our "Night in Shining Armor" is asleep. Not a chance, he is wide awake and yes, he wants sex. So, do we have a biblical reason to deny him his desire. Do we have the right to say no? After all, all he had to do today was get out of bed, shower, eat, go to work, come back home lay on the sofa, eat , lay on the sofa some more. He had a break, you didn't. So what are we to do?

Answer: Well, if you want to honor God then you lay a big ole' smacker on him and say " baby lets get it on!" Even if you think he doesn't deserve it. Think of it this way....by doing so, you are honoring God! Now that's a Man who deserves your honor!!! The bible tells us we are to be submissive to our husbands.
Ephesians 5:22-24 (NIV) 22Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Also, the Proverbs 31 woman worked like us...I would even go as far as to say even harder. Now, while we may not be able to be all she is...we can strive to be a what God commands us to be.....Godly.

A Wife Of Noble Character
Proverbs 31: 10-31 NLT

"Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is
worth more than precious rubies. He husband can
trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She will
not hinder him but help him all her life. She finds wool
and flax and busily spins it. She is like a merchant's ship;
she brings her food from afar. She gets up before dawn
a to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the
day's work for the servant girls. She goes out to inspect
a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard.
She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. She watches
for bargains; her lights burn late into the night. Her hands
are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber. She
extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms
to the needy. She has no fear of winter for her household
because all of them have warm clothes. She quilts her own
bedspreads. She dresses like royalty in gowns of the finest
cloth. Her husband is well known, for he sits in the council
meeting with the other civic leaders. She makes belted
linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she
laughs with no fear of the future. When she speaks,
her words are wise, and kindness is the rule when she
gives instructions. She carefully watches all that goes
on in her household and does not have to bear the
consequences of her laziness. Her children stand and
bless her. Her husband praises her. There are many
virtuous and capable women in the world, but you
surpass them all! Charm is deceptive, and beauty
does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will
be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise."
