Marriage Testimony
Are our marriages a testimony for God?
I want to encourage you to make sure yours is. Christians are called to place God first in our lives above everything and everyone. How can our marriages be testimonies for our Lord and Savior? We are called to love; not just when it is easy but also when we decide someone doesn't "deserve" it. Have you ever decided that your spouse didn't deserve your love or for you to treat them as well as you treat them. I believe that if we love and treat our spouses well, even when they don't "deserve" it that we are honoring God. Our actions are living sacrifices. My challenge to you for the next month is this: get with your spouse and ask them what are the top five things you do that makes them feel loved and share your top five with them. After sharing write down your spouse's top five and make a covenant between you and God that you will do these things as a sacrifice to our Lord. Please do not keep score with your spouse, your covenant is between you and God. God doesn't anger us, nor will He let us down, He loves us and this is who we are honoring with our marriage. This will take work and it may be a big change but God will honor you and your marriage. I encourage you to do this daily, referring to your notes each day if you need to. Start out by doing something everyday, remember this is between you and God and your actions are to honor Him. You don't have to point out to your spouse what you are doing, they will notice. Gradually increase the number of things you do each day until you no longer have to look at the list and it becomes habit forming. Stay with it and let your marriage become a testimony to our Lord Jesus Christ. Let me know how it goes. Love Yall

What a wonderful way to look at it. Love it
So profound. If all of us would just do this and practice it, our divorce rate would go way down. I have to say I am convicted.
I am GUILTY of not being the wife God expects me to be in this area. I am embarrassed. Thank you. I am going to really work on this. I have a good husband and he deserves for me to do much better, especially around the house. THANKS!!
This has made me think about things I never thought about before. I need to work on being a better Godly wife!
